MORE TROMPE L'OEIL

We love our new blog design!  It was designed by the amazing Miss Shawn of Eclectic Whimsey Designs.  We sent her tons of pictures and she came up with this fabulous banner!  It was like opening a Christmas present because we had no idea what she was designing!!  Just so happens that the chandelier is one that Heather painted(yeah you heard me right) on her entry wall.  She came in one morning and announced that she had painted her entry hall BLACK!!  I have to say, I was sure that she had lost her mind!  I mean BLACK?  But the results....fantastic!!

The brick reflected in the vintage mirrors is the opposite wall.  The mirrors she found at a sale for $12.00 each.

Here's the view from the other direction.  This hall is very narrow so it was a little difficult to photograph.

She painted a total of three chandeliers on this wall. 

The (real) chandelier is black with crystals

I really love the way this entry leads into the other room with the red and cream toile wallpaper!

Oh...one more thing, if you have nails that you need to hide, use drippy crystals with a little added bling .  It will also really add another texture to your design!  And the overlapping mirrors??  Initially this was a mistake but she liked it so well that she left it that way!

OK, this is just too cool! I am jealous. These chandeliers are spectacular. How about making stencils of them and selling them to dweebs like me who can't draw???? I can just see doing a whole wall with them in my bedroom. I already have the mirrors! PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE......I am BEGGING!!!
