I know that I promised more new jewelry last week, but we've been dealing with a sick little boy and that has kind of taken up all of our thoughts here lately. Let me share these symptoms with you, they are just TOO weird!
T-man is 9. Soon to be 10 and has always had allergies, very mild asthma, so on. About 2 1/2 weeks ago, he started breaking out in this weird rash and his cheeks were bright red. Heather took him to the doctor who said it was probably an allergic reaction to something. Pretty much what we figured too. Said start giving him Zyrtec, and here's a prescription for steroids but of course don't start them unless he gets worse or it doesn't go away. Next day, the rash was worse, so Heather started him on the steroids. Two days away from the end of the course of steroids and he's no better at all. In fact, he's worse. He seems to be running a slight fever off and on, complaining of a headache, AND his joints are hurting. Especially his elbows which are actually so tender to the touch that he doesn't even want to be touched. Another doctors appointment. They make it for the next afternoon. The morning of his appointment he wakes up and everything is worse. The rash is REALLY bad, his face is swollen, and his fingers are so swollen that they look like little sausages. Now we're beginning to panic! This was last Thursday. Heather takes him to the Doctor and suddenly he's talking about some really serious stuff. Lupus, Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis, (the Docs. main suspicion), and other more serious stuff. They took four vials of blood and "are ordering 9 gazillion blood tests" as the nurse put it in order to find out what's going on! They have another Doctors appointment this Thursday to (hopefully) get a final diagnosis. In the meantime, we're on pins and needles and more than a little distracted! Thus.....the lack of blogging!

On the lighter side, today is Heather's birthday! 34 years ago today, I had the cutest little 7 1/2 pound baby with tons of brown hair. Happy Birthday Heather! What a joy it is to have a daughter who is also my best friend and business partner! AND I get FREE painted furniture any time I want it!
Always in search of something that she would love, I ordered her these soooo cute tags from the antique paperie !
They were all so cute and such a great price I couldn't make up my mind so I ordered several different styles! They're great to tuck in little places on your inspiration boards, tie on the front of boxes in your craft closet, or even hang on lamps. I also ordered a few for myself but have had to keep them hidden away until later this afternoon! I can't wait to play with them and see where they end up! In true fashion, I'll be running around this afternoon trying to find that one other "perfect" thing for her. I'll drag T-man with me as an excuse! Hey, he has to buy something for Mommy too!

Yesterday we made a quick trip to Dallas Market. It was the last day of apparel market which we had never been to. We were SOOOO confused never having purchased apparel before! It's a whole other world! We ordered some SUPER cute tees, hats, and bags. Wanted to order some cute shoes but there just wasn't enough time! One day is hardly enough time to accomplish anything! We were lucky enough to stumble on an UNBELIEVABLE accessory line that we have never had before! Wonderful French Country goodies that we can't WAIT to get!
Have a wonderful Monday!
