You'll be seeing it everywhere this month because October is breast cancer awareness month! And....this is MY opportunity to remind all of you who read our blog to PLEASE PLEASE have those yearly mammogram's and PLEASE PLEASE don't forget to do those monthly self exams! They are so important and we all know that early detection is the key.
I won't blah blah blah about my story again but if you are interested, please check our archives for October 1st 2007! That is my story with a very happy ending!

On a lighter note ( I guess) more on the puppy progress! Miss Molly has gotten soooo BIG that she is now jumping over the baby gate and out of the bathroom that we had been keeping her in. Now it's time for a crate! Though this may sound cruel to some of you, it's a lot safer for her than having her wander loose through the house while we're gone and possibly chewing through something like an electrical cord. The scary part is telling hubby that the size we need is probably going to cost at least $100.00!
I had thought that if I ever did get another dog that it would be a teeny tiny dog like Heather's 3 pound Chihuahua! I even had her name all picked out....I would call her Willow! What a cute name! But alas, I ended up with this big bouncy bundle of joy and Molly just seemed appropriate! So with a sigh I had decided that I would never get to use my cute name Willow that I had picked out! Sometimes God has such a sense of humor!
One night not long ago, I was outside at about midnight on one of Molly's many potty breaks. Of course it was dead silent at that time of night. Then suddenly I heard a tiny and pitiful little meow! Huh uh! No way! Then again....meow! Well @#!! I thought and then I called "kitty kitty kitty" I just couldn't help myself I HAD to know. Here she came.....a tiny skinny black and white little kitten! Poor little baby, she was starving to death! That was it for me! I dashed in the house and came back out with canned cat food and she ate like she hadn't had anything to eat in weeks, which she probably hadn't!
Yea go ahead laugh! You guessed it...............
Meet Miss Willow!
She has finally started to fatten up like a kitten should be! She'll be on her way to the Vet in the next week or two since, lets face it, she's mine now!
People make me sick! I'm sure someone probably dumped her in the park behind our house! She isn't feral and seems very used to people and other animals. I can't imagine dumping an animal like that knowing that the chances are that they will either starve to death or be killed by another animal. Shame shame on who ever did this horrible thing!
I guess that if I were to preach about anything else it would be.........SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR PETS!
I never started out wanting to be known as the "crazy cat lady" it just happened!
Love Ya!
Denise
